The waist seam is the measurement the rest of the dress is checked against, and it is the first line reviewed on the sample.
Placing the Waist Seam
Give us the waist position you want, or the flat measurement from a dress you already sell. The bodice and the skirt are drafted and graded from your chart, and the seam position is checked on the sample.
Print Scale on the Gathered Skirt
The print file is quoted at the finished print size. The repeat is laid out on the pattern pieces, and the scale is reviewed on the sample.
Straps, Facing and Closure
State the strap width and attachment point, the facing depth and the closure type you want. Each is drafted to your numbers and confirmed on the sample sheet.
The Three Sign-Off Points
The sample is signed off on three items: waist seam position, neckline edge position against the drawing, and print scale on the gathered skirt. Send the design, the size chart and the print file to Michelle@yimifashion.com to book the sample.
